Statutes and regulations

The Statutes are the most important internal rules in the San Ildefonso School Association. Below these in importance and dependant on them we have the "Rules on Internal Government".

The regulatory process in our Association is a power granted by the General Meeting of Members and is stated in the Statutes, authorizing the Governing Committee to have the executive control for the correct operation and regulation of rules in the different fields within the whole of the association. We see that the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language principally defined the concept of Regulation in the following way;

"An ordered collection of rules and provisions given by the competent authority so that a law or the governing regime of a corporation, a department or established service can be executed".

In recent years the different Governing Committees of the Association, have used this procedure to control the mechanism for granting the "Victor Garcia" award, the rules for academic grants and the rules referring to cultural trips.

In the short term the regulatory objective is to offer a greater impetus to this authority to govern by using it to develop such important issues as welfare aid, social aid or the disciplinary procedure.
